Kilkee Cliffs

Kilkee Cliffs

You really need to discover the magnificent Kilkee Cliffs. The cliffs can be taken in as part of your exploration of loop head by car but there is no doubt that you will be compelled to park up along the way. We recommend approaching these cliffs from the fishing village of Carrigaholt. Head west leaving the village along the conveniently named west street and follow this road for approximately 2.5km before turning right following the sign for Kilkee. Travel for another 3km before turning left at the large windmill and travel along this country road for just over 2km before turning left. Now simply follow this road until your breath is taken away. This route definitely gives the driver and passengers incredible vistas. Weaving along the Atlantic Ocean you will see enormous sea stacks jutting out of the ocean that were once part of the mainland. These incredible cliffs really showcase what the Wild Atlantic Way is all about. Incredible and pristine locations far from the beaten track waiting to be discovered. Another hidden gem that can be explored while staying with us at Teach de Broc.
