There are some fantastic golf photographers out there at the moment and the majority of them have made their home on instagram. One of the standout photographers that has really captured our attention was Evan Schiller.
Anybody can photograph a golf course. It’s very simple to just stand there and shoot the beautiful vistas over and over again. It’s another thing entirely to capture the feeling a golf course gives you, and to shoot it in a way that enchants the viewer. This is what makes Evan’s photographs stand out from the crowd.
Evan thoughtfully scouts each golf hole with the intention of being in the right place, at the right time, with the right light, to create photographs that inspire. Evan’s golf shots are beyond the imagination of most, and show the architecture of a golf course at its best. His photographs really give you the opportunity to study the topography of Ballybunion’s expanse of dunes. You can see the intricacies of the holes and how they flow in and out of the dunes. You can see how the Atlantic Ocean serves as a backdrop on a number of occasions.
Evan’s work has been published in countless magazines, books and calendars including The Masters Journal, The US Open Magazine, The Ryder Cup Journal, LINKS Magazine, Golf Digest and Golf Magazine.
Here we have highlighted some of his best work at Ballybunion golf club. We believe that he really has managed to capture the golf course at its finest.
There is nothing quite like a perfectly captured image to really motivate you to just want to get out and play.
Check out his Instagram but more importantly check out ours @teachdebroc
We really hope these great images have piqued your interest in playing Ballybunion and as you can imagine after playing 36 holes of golf you are going to need a seriously good meal, a well deserved drink and a really good night's sleep.
That’s where we come in.
